    What You’ll Do

As our Human Resources Assistant, you’ll work directly with the Director of Human Resources, supporting the people, processes, and programs that help our organization succeed.

You’ll gain exposure to a wide range of HR functions, making this an excellent opportunity to build your skills and expand your knowledge of Human Resources.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Support Our Employees: Serve as a friendly, helpful resource for employees and managers, answering routine HR questions and connecting them with the information and assistance they need.
    • Help Us Find Great Talent: Assist with recruiting efforts, including posting positions, reviewing applications, communicating with candidates, and coordinating interviews.
    • Create a Great First Impression: Coordinate new-hire onboarding, ensuring new employees have the information, documentation, and support they need to get started successfully.
    • Support Employee Transitions: Assist with offboarding processes, employee changes, and required documentation.
    • Keep Payroll Running Smoothly: Assist with payroll preparation, timekeeping reviews, employee updates, and identifying discrepancies to help ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
    • Assist with Employee Benefits: Support benefits enrollment, employee changes, open enrollment, and communication with benefits providers.
    • Maintain Accurate HR Records: Keep employee files, HR systems, and personnel information accurate, organized, current, and confidential.
    • Support HR Compliance: Assist with employment documentation, policy acknowledgments, reporting, audits, and other compliance-related activities.
    • Help Coordinate HR Programs: Support employee engagement initiatives, training, employee check-ins, and other HR projects.
    • Prepare Reports and Communications: Assist with HR reports, employee correspondence, employment verifications, and workforce data.
    • Keep Things Organized: Track deadlines, manage follow-up items, and help ensure HR processes are completed accurately and efficiently.
    • Be a Trusted Team Member: Handle confidential employee information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment, escalating sensitive matters appropriately.
    • Make Things Better: Help identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen communication, and create a better employee experience.

HR experience is certainly valuable, but we also recognize that excellent HR professionals often come from administrative, customer service, recruiting, payroll, and other professional backgrounds.

You’ll be a great fit if you:

    • Don’t just complete tasks—you make sure they’re completed correctly.
    • Are exceptionally organized and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through.
    • Enjoy helping people and providing excellent customer service.
    • Can juggle multiple priorities without losing track of the details.
    • Are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable asking questions when needed.
    • Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully.
    • Understand the importance of confidentiality, discretion, and good judgment.
    • Take ownership of your responsibilities and follow through on commitments.
    • Enjoy learning new systems, processes, and skills.
    • Can work independently while collaborating closely with your team.
    • Are dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bring a positive, solutions-oriented approach to your work.

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • Previous experience in Human Resources, administrative support, recruiting, payroll, benefits, or a related field is preferred.
    • Two or more years of relevant administrative or professional experience is a plus.
    • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
