Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

Position Overview

As the HRBP, you'll own the complete people operations function, balancing strategic initiatives with tactical execution. You'll design and implement HR programs that support our firm's growth while maintaining our collaborative, high-performance culture. This role requires an individual who can operate independently, think strategically about the employee experience, and execute flawlessly on HR compliance and operational requirements within the highly regulated wealth management industry.

Core Responsibilities

People Operations & Employee Experience

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee questions regarding policies, procedures, and workplace matters.
  • Own the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding, ensuring a consistent and exceptional experience.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of BSA benefits to assist employees and candidates with related questions.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive HR policies and procedures that reflect our culture and comply with employment laws.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and culture-building programs that reinforce our collaborative, excellence-driven environment.
  • Manage employee relations issues with sensitivity and professionalism, guiding managers and employees.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation systems.

Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Partner with hiring managers to develop compelling job descriptions and define ideal candidate profiles.
  • Lead end-to-end recruiting processes, including job posting strategy, candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and offer management.
  • Ensure exceptional candidate experience through professional communication and streamlined processes.
  • Coordinate background checks, reference verification, and new hire documentation.
  • Design and facilitate comprehensive onboarding programs that accelerate new hire
  • integration and success.
  • Maintain and continuously improve recruiting metrics, hiring processes, and outcomes.

Performance Management & Development

  • Oversee performance management processes through our Lattice platform, including review cycles, goal setting, and feedback facilitation.
  • Partner with managers to identify development opportunities and create individual growth plans.
  • Design and coordinate learning and development programs, including lunch-and-learns and professional development sessions.
  • Support career advancement discussions and succession planning initiatives
  • Track program effectiveness and gather feedback to enhance future offerings

    HR Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure all HR practices comply with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Oversee HR-related compliance training programs and maintain documentation for
  • regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain the current Employee Handbook and HR policies in compliance with
  • employment law.
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel on employment-related matters and regulatory
  • updates.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to firm HR policies and employment law requirements.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in professional services or financial services
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paychex, Trinet), performance management systems (Lattice), and compliance tools
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive matters discreetly
  • Independence: Proven ability to work autonomously while building strong partnerships across the organization
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional organizational skills with focus on accuracy and follow-through
  • Adaptability: Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance day-to-day operations with long-term people strategy
