You'll support a portfolio of Louisiana organizations across onboarding and offboarding, recruiting, and policy development. You'll also serve as the dedicated point of contact for a group of client accounts. If you're a driven HR professional looking for a growth opportunity, this is a great fit!

What You'll Do
- Manage onboarding and off-boarding for client organizations: new-hire paperwork, I-9 compliance, separations, final pay coordination, and documentation.
- Conduct recruiting efforts: post jobs, schedule/conduct interviews, communicate with candidates, and support hiring managers through offers.
- Draft and update employee handbooks, policies, and HR documents using our templates, with review from senior consultants.
- Administer leave of absence in compliance with FMLA, ADA, WC, and state requirements.
- Serve as account lead for a group of client organizations: answer day-to-day HR questions, hold regular check-ins, and spot needs where Unitas can help further.
- Track and close client requests through our ticketing system, and record time accurately by client and task.
- Help build and refine the step-by-step procedures that keep our client work consistent.
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of HR generalist experience; consulting, PEO, or multi-site experience is a plus.
- Strong working knowledge of onboarding and offboarding compliance and Louisiana and federal employment law.
- Recruiting experience.
- Experience drafting or updating HR policies.
- Experience with leave administration.
- Clear, professional communication with business owners, managers, and employees.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail; you can juggle many clients without dropping details.
- Comfort with HRIS, applicant tracking systems, and Google Workspace.
- SHRM-CP or PHR preferred, or willingness to earn it within 12 months.
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
