POSITION DETAILS

Our client is looking for a passionate, resourceful, and solution-oriented HR Generalist/Business Partner who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves to continue building something great. Reporting to the HR Manager, they will primarily support our client's largest mining site in New Mexico, and help advance various corporate initiatives across the company.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Handle job postings, job fairs, search firm engagements, candidate applications, prescreening/interviewing/selection, etc.
Delivering onboarding – pre-employment processes, day one experience, assist in 30/60/90-day plans, etc.
Engaging and connecting the workforce through daily field visits, timely responses to employee questions, reward and recognition initiatives, community relations activities, etc.
Assisting with strategies and tactics, including leading training classes.
Develop, interpret, and apply policies to ensure compliance and shape culture.
Prepare and interpret metrics that enable informed decision-making and value creation, including analysis and plans related to turnover, compensation, onboarding, morale, etc.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to apply HR knowledge to help execute business strategies
Experience in collaborating and communicating effectively with all levels in the organization
Willingness to generate ideas and solutions
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize with sound judgement to effectively balance urgency and thoroughness to resolve complex issues
Attention to detail in all aspects of the position, including administrative tasks
Proficiency in using data to help drive continuous improvement
Humility and a growth mindset and a willingness to learn

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
3-5 years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in the mining and minerals industry
