The HR Generalist provides essential support in various HR functions, collaborating closely with the Human Resources Manager and other HR team members. Responsibilities include assisting in the implementation, tracking, and evaluation of HR programs, policies, engagement initiatives, compliance, and employee relations practices. The role supports the management of Leave of Absence and Workers Compensation claims and helps ensure that HR processes are efficiently handled. This position will play a key role in maintaining operational effectiveness and supporting the company’s growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists in developing and maintaining positive working relationships with managers and team members, helping to ensure understanding of team member relations and engagement.
  • Supports the development, measurement, and implementation of team member engagement initiatives to foster a high-performing workforce.
  • Maintains all employee files in accordance with legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with applicable laws.
  • Helps manage engagement programs and provides administrative support for engagement improvement recommendations.
  • Assists in ensuring compliance with HR-related matters by maintaining an in-depth knowledge of employment law and legal compliance.
  • Provides support for team member relations, including assisting or managing the full process of investigations and ensuring adherence to legal requirements related to employee relations.
  • Assists in managing Leave of Absence, unemployment and Workers Compensation claims, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with policies.
  • Supports the training, enforcement, and updates of HR policies and Employee Handbook.
  • Coordinates and assists with delivering HR policy and compliance training for managers.
  • Maintains updated records of all company job descriptions.
  • Provides administrative support for the performance review processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
  • Supports HR team efforts related to benefits and total rewards.
  • Assists in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition Team and Marketing Coordinator on internal communications and social media efforts to promote team recognition and engagement.
  • Supports efforts to ensure reliable, predictable, and timely attendance from all team members.
  • Participates in the implementation and maintenance of HR programs such as diversity & inclusion initiatives and leadership development programs.
  • Ability to work on site and off site.
  • Ability to travel as needed and drive to needed locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment while managing high volume of deliverables which may often times create conflict deadlines. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university required.
  • 2+ years proven competency in Human Resources.
  • Experience and proven competency in implementing successful programs. 
  • Adaptability and support of change. 
  • Ability to lead projects of significant complexity.
  • HR certification a plus
