Human Resources Generalist
Location: Houston, TX 77064

JOB FUNCTION:
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting and executing a broad range of HR functions, including benefits administration, recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee records management, and compliance. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient HR operations in a manufacturing environment and supporting employees across the organization and requires a skilled investigator who can neutrally assess workplace conflicts, conduct thorough interviews, gather evidence, and resolve complex personnel issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES:  
  • Responsible for benefits administration (including group health insurance, IRC Section 125, workers' compensation, COBRA), development and maintenance of personnel records and database, tracking and reporting personnel requisition, creation and tracking of Immigration processing for appropriate Visas and Permanent Residencies, and creation and management of job descriptions and compensation schedules. 
  • Handle core human resources functions specializing heavily in employee relations
  • Conduct thorough work place investigation involving employee complaints, policy violation, safety concern and others
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation, modernize and streamline company benefits handbooks for all employees. 
  • Facilitate payroll process, confirm and submit payroll deductions and changes. 
  • Monitored FMLA, FLSA and all other leave requests 
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or associate in human resources, Business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive, hands-on HR experience, in a Manufacturing, Warehouse environment
CERTIFICATOINS:
  • aPHR, SHRM-CP or other HR certifications
SKILLS:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR-related software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  •  Able to work flexible hours as needed
  • Bilingual preferred
