HR Generalist

Are you an HR professional who enjoys balancing employee relations, recruiting, HR administration, and operational support? We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization seeking an HR Generalist to serve as a key resource for employees and leadership while supporting day-to-day HR operations.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with both management and production teams, helping drive employee engagement, compliance, workforce development, and recruiting initiatives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and onboard hourly and salaried employees
• Coordinate new hire orientation and ensure completion of onboarding documentation
• Serve as a primary HR resource for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, attendance, and workplace procedures
• Track employee attendance, timekeeping, PTO requests, and related documentation
• Support employee relations activities, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management processes
• Assist managers with performance reviews, coaching conversations, and performance improvement plans
• Maintain personnel files, HR records, and training documentation
• Coordinate employee development and training programs
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies
• Assist with workers' compensation administration and safety-related initiatives
• Generate reports and maintain accurate HR metrics and records
• Provide administrative support to operational and leadership teams as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Human Resources experience required
• Experience supporting employee relations, recruiting, onboarding, and HR administration
• Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments
• Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
• SHRM-CP, PHR, or related HR certification is a plus
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS systems, and reporting tools
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
