JOB SUMMARY:

The Human Resources Manager supports the administration and daily operations of the Human Resources Department.

The Human Resources Manager assists with employee recruitment, onboarding, personnel record-keeping, compliance reporting, benefits coordination, employee relations, and collective bargaining administration, while supporting the operational and organizational needs of the department as established by the Superintendent and School Business Administrator/Board Secretary.

QUALIFICATIONS and SKILLS:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. Candidates who possess an equivalent combination of education, specialized training, professional certifications, and directly related work experience demonstrating the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered in lieu of the preferred professional educational qualification.
  • Candidates must possess a Professional Human Resources certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR), or demonstrate the ability and willingness to obtain such certification within two (2) years of employment.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of human resources experience required, ideally in a public-school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of federal and New Jersey state labor laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with collective bargaining agreements and contract administration preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing records and compliance reporting.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with HR systems, applicant tracking systems, and Google for Education Suite.

SALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $95,000
