    Description

    Position: HVAC Controls Technician
    Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 per year

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in troubleshooting, repairing, and installing direct digital control (DDC) systems, with a deep understanding of HVAC mechanical systems and electronics.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoot, repair, and install DDC systems to ensure optimal performance.
    • Provide engineering support for new construction projects and retrofits.
    • Modify and optimize program algorithms for DDC systems.
    • Collaborate effectively with sales teams, contractors, and customers to deliver control solutions and service support.
    • Design and implement user-friendly front-end graphics for system interfaces.
    • Analyze issues, diagnose problems, and resolve system malfunctions to maintain the functionality of automation systems.
    • Coordinate and conduct training sessions for customers.
    • Ensure timely completion of all assigned projects.
    • Offer technical guidance and support to end-users and team members as needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Completion of a vocational school program or an associate degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, or air conditioning; or a minimum of five years of relevant industry experience.
    • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends, as required.
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting wiring diagrams.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • General understanding of IP networks.
    • Occasional travel may be required.
    • Familiarity with a variety of hand and power tools.

    Experience Requirements:

    • At least 3 years of experience with LonWorks and/or BACnet Control Systems.
    • Experience with ABB Cylone, Honeywell, Distech, JCI FX, TRIDIUM, and NIAGARA 4 is advantageous.
