Description
This position will report to IT Landes Company, LLC, a subsidiary of HB Global.
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator/Project Manager to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the estimation and management of commercial HVAC projects from initial bid through project completion. You will leverage your construction industry experience, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to deliver accurate cost estimates, manage project budgets, and ensure seamless execution. Primary Duties:
Coordinate unit replacement leads, contact customers, set up site review, and evaluate equipment and/or systems for replacement pricing.
Evaluate system effectiveness for proposed design/ build enhancements. Coordinate any questions with design team and engineering.
Provide engineering costs if pertinent.
Obtain equipment and material pricing as related to individual jobs.
Construct replacement/job costs.
Formulate HVAC proposal and communicate proposed work with customer. Field any questions and provide answers.
Coordinate signed work with other project managers and schedule.
Supervise execution of jobs. Coordinate with other ITL divisions as required.
Responsible for scheduling large project events (crane lifts, factory start-ups, owner trainings, etc.)
Compile and distribute any close out documents. As-builts, or warranty papers as required.
Ensure billing is done in a timely fashion.
Communicate service opportunities to ITL service division.
Promote safety and core values.
Secondary Duties:
Participation in pre-construction turnover and wrap-up meetings
Prepare, review, distribute and track status of submittals for completing the “buy-out” process
Assist in subcontract (GC/Subs) execution as required
Compile and distribute closeout documentation with accurate “As-builts”
Keep accurate logs for RFI’s and COR’s pertaining to the assigned projects
Keep up to date drawings distributed to the field and office for all projects
Qualifications:
5-10 years of HVAC experience
Project management experience (preferred)
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team
Strong problem solving, critical thinking, coaching, interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills
Proactive attitude
Detail oriented
Highly dependable and trustworthy
Must perform work in a safe manner
Additional Skills Required:
Able to read and understand equipment installation and operation manuals, specification and submittal sheets
General understanding of safety practices and guidelines
Basic understanding of installation and functions of HVAC systems
