Location: Wakefield, MA | On-site

Note: Candidates must have 1+ years of experience in HVAC or mechanical construction and a solid understanding of mechanical systems. We're looking for someone who can interpret construction drawings, understands HVAC installations, and is eager to contribute to our estimating team.

Job Description

• Prepare detailed HVAC and mechanical construction estimates, including material takeoffs, labor costs, and project budgets.
• Review architectural and mechanical drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify project requirements.
• Work with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and develop accurate proposals.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job site walkthroughs to better understand project scope.
• Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to develop competitive, well-organized bids.
• Analyze project costs, identify opportunities for savings, and improve estimating accuracy.
• Help streamline estimating processes and maintain accurate project cost information.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in HVAC or mechanical construction.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical piping, and construction materials.
• Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with material takeoffs, estimating, or construction cost analysis.
• Working knowledge of HVAC piping and applicable NFPA codes.
• QuickPen estimating software experience is highly desirable; Microsoft Office 365 proficiency is expected.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience and training.
• Valid driver's license.
