HVAC Install Technician

Position Summary

The HVAC Install Technician works primarily in residential settings performing installation, replacement, and fit-out work on HVAC systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

Technicians regularly work with customers, dispatchers, management, office personnel, and fellow technicians to maintain a high level of teamwork and morale.

Pay Range

$28.00 – $44.00 per hour

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, certifications, and overall qualifications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, boilers, and related equipment
• Install and repair ductwork as needed to ensure proper airflow and ventilation
• Test HVAC systems to ensure proper functionality and efficiency after installation
• Serve as a trusted advisor by recommending appropriate upgrades and solutions
• Provide exceptional customer service and explain equipment and maintenance recommendations
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and issues encountered
• Follow OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety guidelines at all times
• Promote and follow building, job site, and department procedures and policies
• Maintain a clean, organized, and mechanically sound company vehicle
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
• Operate a company vehicle to perform installation jobs for customer needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Five or more years of related HVAC installation experience preferred
• Technical school training or equivalent work experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required
• EPA Certification preferred
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable using smartphones and tablets for job-related tasks
• Must provide own hand tools

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and use of hands and arms. Employees must be able to occasionally lift equipment, tools, and supplies up to 50 pounds and work in a variety of residential environments.
