HVAC Maintenance Technician

Pay:$17.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. Occasional evenings, weekends, and overtime may be required based on customer demand.

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused HVAC Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on residential heating and cooling systems. As an HVAC Maintenance Technician, you'll help customers keep their systems operating safely and efficiently while identifying potential repair needs and recommending solutions that improve comfort and system performance.

Reports To: Service Manager

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance on residential heating and cooling systems.
• Inspect equipment for safety, performance, and energy efficiency.
• Clean, adjust, and test HVAC system components.
• Identify maintenance concerns and communicate repair recommendations to homeowners.
• Complete accurate service documentation and maintenance reports.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and professional manner.
• Follow all company safety policies, EPA guidelines, and industry best practices.
• Participate in ongoing technical and customer service training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• EPA Universal Certification (required)
• HVAC trade school certificate or equivalent field experience preferred
• 1+ years of residential HVAC maintenance or related experience preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional appearance
• Comfortable working from extension ladders up to 28 feet and step ladders up to 12 feet
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and varying weather conditions
• Willingness to purchase and maintain the tools required for the position
• Commitment to ongoing technical training and professional development
