| JOB SUMMARY |
| This position will be responsible for the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of HVAC duct systems, supports, and related equipment |
| MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
- 1+ years of experience in HVAC duct installation, preferably in an industrial environment
|
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
|
- OSHA 10 or 30 safety certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Strong mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of different piping systems and materials

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Strong understanding of ductwork and HVAC systems, materials, and industrial standards
- Layout, assemble, install, and maintain HVAC duct systems, supports, and related equipment
- Use various tools and equipment, both sheet metal hand and power tools as well as arial work platforms
- Assemble sheet metal duct sections together in accordance with shop drawings
- Fabricate pipe spools and components as per project requirements using various welding and fitting techniques
- Diagnose and repair faults in duct systems, including leaks, blockages, or pressure issues.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications to plan the layout of ductwork systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards
- Test duct systems for leaks using air pressure tests and complete all documentation
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and industry codes (SMACNA)
- Work closely with other trades like welders, plumbers, and electricians to coordinate work on projects
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coordinators, and project managers regarding project status, material needs, and any issues encountered
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure systems operate efficiently and safely
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following OSHA guidelines.
