HVAC-R Technician -1st Shift

Summary of the Position:

The HVAC-R Technician is responsible for repair and maintenance of HVACR equipment and related controls, excluding piping connected to HVACR equipment and controls. The person in this position may work in other areas of maintenance and repair and also on special projects.

Functions Of the Position:

• Repairs and maintains HVACR systems and related equipment utilizing hand and power tools to facilitate work, excluding repair and maintenance of piping connected to such equipment.
• Moves, installs, and adjusts fixtures, motors and other electrical/mechanical equipment.
• Assists in other building maintenance or repairs activities as needed.
• Works in fabricating as needed, excluding fabrication activities related to pipe systems.
• Heating (Furnace, boiler, heat pump).
• Ventilation & Air filtration.
• Air Conditioning.
• Refrigeration (cooler, freezers, cases).
• EPA Section 608 required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two plus years of experience in HVAC-R repair, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of working with electrical components and wiring required.
• Strong mechanical skills
