What You Will Do
- Work on a diverse range of equipment, including RTU's, Exhaust, Make up air, Chillers, Captive air units, Aaon, and more
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC systems
- Troubleshoot issues with compressors, condensers, evaporators, electrical controls, and refrigerant levels.
- Perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration and HVAC equipment
- Follow local, state, and federal regulations regarding refrigerant handling (EPA Section 608 Certification required).
- Adhere to workplace safety standards, including OSHA guidelines, to prevent hazards such as electrical shocks or refrigerant exposure.
- Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, refrigerant usage, and system performance reports.
- Provide professional customer service when interacting with clients and explaining repair needs.
- Recommend system upgrades or preventative maintenance solutions to extend equipment life.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding job progress and technical issues.
What You Need
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must have insurable driving record
- EPE Section 608 certification for handling refrigerants
- 3–5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service and repair
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and electrical components
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Ability to lift and carry heavy tools and equipment (50+ lbs.).
- Work in various environments, including cold storage facilities, restaurants, grocery stores, and outdoor locations.
- May require on-call availability, overtime, and travel to job sites in a company-provided vehicle.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with RTU's, Chiller, Captive air units
- Familiarity with digital controls and remote monitoring systems
