About the Role: Modern Air/AMG Contractors is looking for an experienced and driven HVAC Service Manager to lead our service team in Austin, TX. Responsibilities:
Oversee daily HVAC service operations, scheduling, and dispatch for residential and/or commercial accounts
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of HVAC technicians to ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Conduct field inspections, quality control checks, and job site visits to ensure work meets company and industry standards
Manage service department budgets, job costing, and profitability goals
Build and maintain strong customer relationships, handling escalations and ensuring timely issue resolution
Coordinate with procurement and warehouse teams to maintain proper parts and equipment inventory
Ensure compliance with local codes, safety regulations, and EPA/OSHA standards
Support technician recruitment, training, and performance evaluations
Requirements:
5+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role
EPA 608 Certification required; NATE certification a plus
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including installation, maintenance, and repair of residential and/or commercial equipment
Proven ability to manage teams, schedules, and service workflows efficiently
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Proficiency with service management software and basic computer skills
Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record
Strong problem-solving mindset with a commitment to safety and quality
TDLR class B license
