will include:Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems, with opportunities to service commercial equipment.Identify the root cause of mechanical, electrical, airflow, refrigeration, and control-related issues rather than relying solely on component replacement.Service furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and high-efficiency HVAC systems.Perform preventive maintenance, system inspections, operational testing, and necessary repairs.Verify system performance and confirm that repairs address the underlying issue.Take ownership of workmanship, follow-up repairs, and callbacks, working to identify and prevent recurring problems.Maintain accurate and thorough service documentation using ServiceTitan, including diagnostic findings, completed work, and repair recommendations.Follow established company procedures and service processes to ensure consistent, high-quality results.Communicate findings and repair options clearly and professionally, providing honest recommendations based on customers' needs and equipment conditions.Utilize manufacturer resources and technical support when needed to resolve complex equipment issues.Collaborate with dispatch, fellow technicians, and leadership to resolve customer concerns and deliver dependable service.Maintain an organized company vehicle, follow safe work practices, and represent American Air professionally.The Experience You'll Bring:We're interested in experienced technicians who enjoy solving challenging problems, take responsibility for their work, and are motivated to continuously improve their technical abilities.We're looking for someone with:4+ years of professional HVAC troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair experience.Current EPA universal certification.Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.Ability to work on-call rotation and after hours service calls as needed.Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and airflow systems.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot equipment, identify root causes, and perform effective repairs.Ability to read wiring diagrams, interpret equipment specifications, and use appropriate diagnostic tools.Strong critical thinking, independent judgment, and problem-solving skills.Commitment to accurate service documentation and following established company procedures.Professional customer communication skills and the ability to explain technical findings honestly and clearly.Willingness to take ownership of repairs, callbacks, and workmanship.Dependability, punctuality, and a commitment to quality customer service.Willingness to seek technical support when appropriate, learn new equipment, and continue professional development.Preferred Qualifications:Previous experience servicing and troubleshooting commercial HVAC systems.Experience with heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and high-efficiency equipment.Familiarity with Lennox and Mitsubishi equipment.Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service management software.NATE certification or additional manufacturer-specific technical
