Description
Description
A well-established residential home services company in the greater Los Angeles area is currently looking to add an HVAC Service Technician to the team. This is a service and maintenance role focused on residential repair, troubleshooting, and replacement work with a strong, supportive team behind you.
Pay is a $24 per hour base plus weekly performance pay that starts from dollar one. Performance pay is a tiered percentage of gross profit, and a solid week can add $1,500 or more on top of your hourly. Handovers pay an additional 4 percent commission.
Quality of life is real here: no after-hours emergency calls, last call scheduled between 2 and 6, truck provided, and a Saturday rotation only during the summer schedule. You will work primarily on Lennox and Goodman equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Run residential HVAC service, repair, and maintenance calls independently from dispatch to close
Troubleshoot and diagnose system issues, looking at the full picture including ductwork
Perform tune-ups and preventive maintenance with an eye for repair and replacement opportunities
Set up clean, seamless handovers for selling techs and comfort advisors when replacement is the right call
Educate homeowners on findings and options with honesty and respect
Keep accurate records of diagnostics, work performed, and recommendations
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
3+ years of residential HVAC service experience (service, repair, and replacement; not commercial only)
EPA 608 certification strongly preferred
Coachable, positive attitude; open to learning and improving
Based in the Los Angeles or Orange County area
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no more than one moving violation in the past five years and no history of license suspension)
Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
