    We are seeking a skilled and dependable HVAC Start-Up / Service Technician to join our team. This position

    is responsible for the start-up, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems and equipment. This position verifies that equipment and systems are installed and operating in accordance with manufacturer specifications, project requirements, and applicable codes and standards.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Perform HVAC equipment start-up, testing, and commissioning on newly installed systems.
    • Verify proper installation, airflow, refrigerant charge, electrical connections, controls, and system performance.
    • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, cooling, ventilation, and related HVAC equipment.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
    • Troubleshoot electrical, refrigerant, airflow, mechanical, and control system issues.
    • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, equipment documentation, and technical manuals.
    • Identify equipment deficiencies and communicate findings and recommended corrective actions to project managers and other appropriate personnel.
    • Complete start-up documentation, service reports, inspection records, and other required documentation accurately and timely.
    • Coordinate with project and installation teams to support equipment start-up, testing, commissioning, and project turnover.
    • Maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.
    • Follow all company safety policies, jobsite requirements, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

    • Experience in HVAC service, installation, equipment start-up, or commissioning.
    • Working knowledge of gas furnaces, heat pumps, RTUs, split systems, mini-splits, and HVAC controls.
    • EPA Section 608 certification required.
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
    • Ability to use gauges, meters, diagnostic equipment, and other HVAC testing tools.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
    • Demonstrated electrical, mechanical, and HVAC troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with project managers, customers, coworkers, and other project stakeholders.
    • Ability to lift and maneuver equipment, tools, and materials as required.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • NATE certification.
    • Commercial HVAC service or start-up experience.
    • Experience with VRF/VRV systems.
    • Experience with building automation and control systems.
    • Experience with commercial/industrial HVAC equipment and controls.
    • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
    • Manufacturer-specific equipment or controls training.
    • Work is performed in construction site environments, including moderate to extreme outdoor conditions.
    • Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and navigate active construction sites and uneven terrain.
    • May require working at heights, including accessing ladders, elevated equipment, and rooftops.
    • Requires the ability to work around noise, dust, heavy equipment, and moving machinery while following established safety requirements.
    • Requires regular travel to and between jobsites.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently and assist with heavier equipment and materials using appropriate equipment or assistance.

    PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT

    • Work is performed in construction site environments, including moderate to extreme outdoor conditions.
    • Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, and navigate active construction sites and uneven terrain.
    • May require working at heights, including accessing ladders, elevated equipment, and rooftops.
    • Requires the ability to work around noise, dust, heavy equipment, and moving machinery while following established safety requirements.
    • Requires regular travel to and between jobsites.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds independently and assist with heavier equipment and materials using appropriate equipment or assistance.
