HVAC Technician

Our client is an established commercial mechanical contractor seeking an HVAC Service Technician to join its branch in Dunn, NC. This role puts you on the front line of commercial and industrial heating, cooling, and refrigeration service across Dunn, Smithfield, and the surrounding area. The ideal candidate is a sharp troubleshooter who takes pride in quality work and wants to build a long-term career with a stable, growing organization.


Job Responsibilities -

- Diagnose and repair HVAC/R equipment at commercial and industrial customer sites.

- Service rooftop units, split systems, DX systems, and dehumidification units.

- Complete scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.

- Isolate failed components using meters and diagnostic instruments.

- Troubleshoot control wiring and high-voltage electrical circuits.

- Handle start-ups, major overhauls, and retrofit work on commercial systems.

- Plan each service call by reviewing site conditions and staying in contact with dispatch.

- Log service tickets, parts usage, and labor hours on a mobile tablet.



Job Requirements -

- 5+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.

- EPA Section 608 certification.

- Strong working knowledge of RTUs, split systems, and DX equipment.

- Ability to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot low- and high-voltage controls.

- Valid driver"s license with a clean driving record.

- Comfortable climbing ladders, working on rooftops, and handling heavy equipment.

- Experience with walk-in coolers, reach-ins, display cases, or ice machines a plus.

- North Carolina HVAC license (H-2 or H-3) preferred.
