    Associate Attorney

    Hybrid | Miami, FL | Full-Time | Competitive Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits

    A growing legal team is hiring an Associate Attorney to support a busy default litigation practice. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with creditor rights experience who is comfortable handling litigation matters independently while working closely with leadership, attorneys, and support staff in a collaborative environment.

    This role includes a diverse caseload involving contested foreclosure, eviction and bankruptcy litigation, title disputes, lender liability, quiet title, wrongful foreclosure, and appellate work. The right person will be confident in litigation strategy, client communication, motion practice, and courtroom responsibilities.

    What You Will Be Doing

    • Manage a caseload of litigation matters through multiple phases, including pleadings, discovery, pre-trial, trial, and appeal
    • Appear in hearings, mediations, depositions, and other court proceedings
    • Develop litigation strategies aligned with client objectives
    • Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, memoranda, and related legal documents
    • Conduct legal research and support all aspects of case development
    • Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions, mediations, and trial testimony
    • Communicate with clients regarding case status, exposure, and strategy
    • Respond to escalations, audits, and due diligence requests as needed
    • Collaborate with internal departments on litigation and compliance-related issues
    • Review legal work, support less experienced team members, and contribute to workflow improvements
    • Stay current on legal and regulatory changes affecting the practice

    Qualifications

    • Active FL law license
    • At least 2 years of relevant legal experience
    • Prior creditor rights legal experience
    • Strong litigation, research, drafting, and motion practice skills
    • Ability to manage matters independently
    • Experience with Word, LexisNexis, and case management systems
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative hybrid environment
