Job Description

Job Summary:
  • Lead the implementation of best practice models and patient care delivery systems across multiple locations.
  • Ensure practice standards are met and maintained in clinical units.
  • Oversee investigation and resolution of patient/family/member concerns about care and services.
  • Facilitate collaboration with physicians, outside healthcare providers, and team members to deliver optimal, safe care across the continuum.
  • Proactively monitor resource needs in several clinical areas to ensure appropriate staffing and utilization.
  • Manage use, maintenance, and availability of equipment, supplies, and medications.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients and employees.
  • Provide clinical supervision, maintain licensing and competencies required for directing care.
  • Delegate tasks and duties within scope of practice.
  • Perform clinical duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and promote professional development opportunities for staff.
  • Build collaborative, cross-functional relationships and foster open dialogue among teams.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and performance management to drive improvement.
  • Hire, train, and develop talent for succession planning.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and organizational changes.
  • Translate business plans into tactical action items for designated units and teams.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed and meet quality standards.
  • Partner with stakeholders to meet service and performance requirements.
  • Communicate goals and objectives clearly and align team efforts with business objectives.
  • Remove performance barriers and create contingency plans when needed.
  • Oversee administrative functions to support patient care, including financial commitments, reports, operational initiatives, human resources, labor relations, training, and quality/risk management.
  • Ensure continuous survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage departmental budgets for payroll and non-payroll expenses.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with physicians and service area leaders to strengthen care delivery programs.
  • Guide emergency preparedness programs and ensure team training.
  • Lead nursing and patient care delivery teams in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Manage improvements to operations and technology, including root cause analysis and remediation.
  • Drive quality and safety improvements across clinical practices, services, and operations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and accrediting requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
  • Minimum five years of experience in patient care delivery.
  • Minimum five years of experience in business operations, clinical healthcare, or a related field.
  • Minimum four years of leadership experience.
  • Registered Nurse License (California) at hire.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
  • ICU experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in related practice area.

  • Variable Compensation: 10% sign-on bonus, 15% annual bonus, full benefits, and pension
