Job Title: Identity Management Contractor – GCP Release Management
Location: Jersey City, NJ

Role Description
As an Identity Management Contractor, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining identity management solutions to ensure secure and efficient access control. You will configure and manage identity management systems to support user authentication and authorization, implement IAM policies and procedures, troubleshoot identity management issues, and maintain documentation for identity management processes and configurations.
In addition, you will lead engineering governance for a regulated, enterprise-scale GCP rollout. This role will own the release management operating model, testing and quality gates, and evidence discipline to ensure platform and onboarding changes are deployed safely, predictably, and in an audit-ready manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and manage identity management systems to support user authentication and authorization.
  • Implement identity and access management (IAM) policies and procedures in accordance with project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to identity management systems and processes.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for identity management processes and configurations.
  • Own end-to-end release governance for GCP platform and onboarding changes, including release calendar, change approvals, go/no-go decisions, rollback criteria, and hypercare.
  • Define and enforce quality gates for infrastructure and platform changes, including test strategy, regression coverage, environment promotion rules, and peer review standards.
  • Run release readiness and post-release validation activities, including cutover checklists, smoke tests, monitoring verification, and incident triage during release windows.
  • Establish standards for release documentation and evidence capture, including change records, test results, approvals, and deployment traceability aligned to control requirements.
  • Coordinate dependencies across IAM, networking, security/compliance, platform engineering, and application teams.
  • Identify recurring release defects and process gaps and drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, corrective actions, and automation of checks.
  • Define operational handoffs, runbooks, support models, SLAs, and knowledge base requirements to ensure production readiness.

  • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Expert level (10+ years of experience)

  • 7+ years of experience in GCP, Testing, and Release Management
