Position Summary:
The purpose of the Field Service Technician Imaging Services position is to learn and demonstrate proficiency in servicing a variety of machines such as copiers, printers, fax machines and desktops with advanced troubleshooting skills while demonstrating strong customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following duties are essential to this role and may be performed with reasonable accommodation. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Complete required manufacturer training and build proficiency in equipment service, assembly, and disassembly.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using available resources and develop the ability to work independently.
- Perform equipment cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Participate in field training with other technicians.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and dispatch.
- Maintain accurate, legible timecards, equipment histories, service orders, and other required records.
- Track and protect assigned vehicle stock and inventory; follow parts and assembly return procedures.
- Maintain a safe vehicle and secure parts storage.
- Stay current on Field Engineering bulletins and service information.
- Support sales goals through prompt, effective service and participation in the sales lead program.
- Represent Loffler Companies professionally and follow the Employee Handbook.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Independent Judgment/Decision-Making:
- Use sound judgment to make cost-effective parts replacement decisions.
- Escalate repair challenges to a Specialist or Senior Service Technician when needed.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Prioritize customer needs and service calls, including emergencies, return visits, incomplete repairs, and parts calls.
- Plan travel time to arrive on time.
Communications/Interpersonal Skills:
- Communicate effectively and build collaborative working relationships using company policies and procedures.
- Develop coaching and mentoring skills.
- Clearly explain non-routine and complex information.
Technical Skills:
- Identify and troubleshoot known error codes using available documentation.
- Demonstrate electrical and mechanical proficiency.
- Operate connected devices proficiently.
- Resolve software version issues.
Problem Solving/Critical Thinking:
- Identify barriers and apply critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
The posted range for this position represents a good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum starting compensation for this role. In addition to the base salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health and dental insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
