Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Imaging Manager to oversee our medical imaging department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic radiology and a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and imaging quality. This role is crucial in managing imaging services, staff, and equipment while collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient outcomes.
Duties
Manage daily operations of the imaging department, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and protocols.
Supervise and train imaging staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Oversee the scheduling of imaging procedures.
Ensure the proper functioning of imaging equipment and coordinate maintenance and repairs as necessary.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to optimize patient care through effective imaging practices.
Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures and ensure proper documentation for billing and compliance purposes.
Stay updated on advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques to enhance departmental practices.
Qualifications
Certificate and/or Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology.
ARRT(R) certification required, plus additional certification in either CT or mammography.
Eligibility for radiologic technologist licensure in the State of Vermont.
Five years of radiology experience.
One year of supervisory experience.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both clinical practice and administrative tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
