Your expertise and guidance will help the company navigate complex legal and ethical challenges while fostering a culture of compliance.ResponsibilitiesProvide timely and accurate guidance to attorneys and staff on ethical issues arising in client matters, including conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and attorney‑client privilegeConduct thorough reviews of client matters to ensure compliance with ethical rules and regulations governing the practice of law, including state bar rules and regulations, ABA Model Rules of Professional Conduct, and immigration law standardsDevelop and implement firm‑wide policies and procedures to promote ethical conduct and compliance with legal and professional standards, including conflict‑check procedures, confidentiality protocols, and client intake processesIdentify potential ethical risks and vulnerabilities within the firm's operations and client matters, and develop strategies to mitigate and manage those risks effectivelyProvide guidance and advice to clients on ethical considerations related to their legal matters, including informed consent, confidentiality, and the duty of zealous representationMonitor compliance with ethical standards and firm policies through regular audits, reviews, and assessments of attorney and staff conduct and client filesAdvocate for ethical principles and professional standards within the firm and interactions with clients, opposing counsel, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholdersPay Range: $90k- $120k USDQualificationsMust have a Juris Doctor degreeStrong understanding of legal ethics, professional responsibility, and regulatory requirements governing the practice of lawCommitment to upholding the highest standards of ethical conduct and integrity in all aspects of legal practiceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsStrong problem solving and decision making skillsBilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not requiredHere at The United Firm, we offer medical, dental, and vision insurance.
