    Description

    Summary

We are seeking a proactive, highly organized Inbound Expeditor & Logistics Coordinator to manage, track, and accelerate the flow of materials from international suppliers to our production plant. While our Global Logistics Group handles high-level carrier contracts and primary freight management, you will serve as the plant-level owner responsible for daily tracking, identifying potential customs or transit bottlenecks, and resolving delivery issues.

    What You'll Do

    • Supplier & Freight Expediting: Proactively track international orders from factory dispatch through final plant delivery, maintaining daily visibility on transit milestones.
    • Inbound Logistics Coordination: Partner with internal Buyers to align incoming raw materials and heavy componentry with manufacturing deadlines.
    • Customs & Tariff Interface: Monitor import documentation (Commercial Invoices, Bills of Lading, Packing Lists) to ensure proper HS code classification, tariff handling, and smooth border clearance.
    • Global Logistics Liaison: Work directly with our corporate Global Logistics Group and customs brokers to resolve port holds, transit delays, or documentation errors.
    • Receiving & Dock Alignment: Coordinate arrival schedules with plant receiving teams to optimize dock capacity and prepare for incoming freight.
    • Outbound Support (Minimal): Assist with occasional customer dock pickups and minor outgoing shipments as needed.

    What You'll Bring

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalent practical experience.
    • Experience: 2-5 years of supply chain, materials expediting, or inbound logistics experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • Inbound & Trade Knowledge: Familiarity with international transit timelines, INCOTERMS, customs clearance steps, and basic tariff/HS code structures.
    • Vendor & Forwarder Relations: Proven ability to persistent follow up with suppliers, freight forwarders, and logistics teams to keep shipments moving.
    • Systems Proficiency: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for order tracking and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
    • Proactive Problem Solver: Relentless drive to hunt down tracking information and resolve shipping disruptions before they impact production schedules.
    • Cross-Functional Communicator: Strong ability to connect the dots between overseas suppliers, internal corporate logistics teams, buyers, and local plant operators.
    • Detail-Oriented: Meticulous approach to reviewing shipping documentation to prevent customs delays and duty miscalculations.
    • Sanmina employees also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Sanmina, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
