Position Summary

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Incoming Quality Inspector to verify materials received at our facility meet quality and order requirements. This hands-on role is responsible for checking quantities, paperwork, material identification, dimensions, and other specifications before materials move into production.

The ideal candidate is organized, safety-focused, comfortable using inspection equipment, and eager to learn in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Perform Positive Material Identification (PMI) using a Niton gun.
• Verify incoming material quantities, descriptions, identification, invoices, and packing slips.
• Perform dimensional and Ra inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring devices.
• Read and interpret blueprints to verify material specifications.
• Maintain accurate, organized receiving and inspection documentation.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move incoming materials.
• Organize pallets, boxes, and materials within the receiving area.
• Support material handling and lift boxes/materials as required.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong attention to detail and basic math skills.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively with others.
• Previous manufacturing, quality, inspection, or receiving experience is a plus.
• Willingness to learn, adapt to changing processes, and ask questions when clarification is needed.

Working Conditions

• Fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Requires standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods, as well as periods of sitting and computer work.
• Exposure to noise and varying temperatures.
• Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
