Job Title: Income Tax Manager – US and Latin Americas
Locations: Houston, TX; San Leandro, CA; Lake Forest, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 9-12 months contract

Working Schedule: Part-time (20 hours or less per week)
Payrate: $45 to $75 per hour on W2


Job Description:
We are seeking an Income Tax Manager – Latin Americas to lead the execution and continuous improvement of SOX-aligned income tax reporting processes, with a strong focus on controls, documentation, and audit readiness. This role will also support the bringing of the tax provision in house for the US which will be a key element of control. This role will serve as the primary resource for Latin America tax reporting deliverables in partnership with local finance teams and external tax advisors. The ideal candidate is process-oriented, detail-driven, and effective at partnering with local Finance teams and external tax advisors in a multinational environment.

Responsibilities
  • Design and preparation of Latin America quarterly and annual tax provision model, including current and deferred tax calculations, return-to-provision support, and TBBS reconciliations under ASC740 and IAS12.
  • Strengthen and operate SOX-aligned tax reporting processes for Latin America, ensuring consistent execution and audit-ready documentation.
  • Support on bringing the US provisioning in house and developing the controls process around it.
  • Standardize and maintain regional calendars, checklists, and workpaper templates to improve efficiency, consistency, and control performance.
  • Partner with local tax advisors to understand Latin America tax matters, validate key assumptions, and document significant judgments and conclusions.
  • Support responses to tax authority inquiries, audits, and information requests across Latin America, including coordinating support and tracking open items to closure.

Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
  • Prior experience on Latin America tax reporting or compliance.
  • Working knowledge of income tax provision concepts and tax reporting processes under U.S. GAAP and/or IFRS.
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate tax department or public accounting (multinational experience preferred).
  • Experience operating in a SOX/internal controls environment, including documentation, evidence retention, and audit readiness.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills; able to manage multiple deadlines and deliverables during close cycles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with local Finance teams and external tax advisors across multiple countries and time zones.
