Sales Support Specialist
Our confidential client, a premier industrial distribution company, is looking for an experienced Sales Support Specialist for their location in Greater Portland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant and expanding organization.
Collaborate with management, branch and division personnel, and outside sales representatives to expand and develop the customer base.
Address customer inquiries at the sales counter, over the phone, and through email.
Process customer orders, check stock availability, shipping dates, and provide pricing quotes.
Apply mechanical principles to address and solve customer needs.
Offer solutions and recommend new and improved products.
Deliver exceptional customer service.

The successful applicant:
- Has 2-5 years of experience in the industrial distribution sector or a related field.
- Is familiar with power transmission components (e.g., speed reducers, brakes, pulleys, sprockets, gearing, electric motors) is advantageous.
- Has experience with Epicor Prophet 21 or similar distribution software is preferred but not required.
- Has strong customer service and communication skills.
- Has mechanical and mathematical aptitude.
- Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Has a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
