industrial Assembler

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Contract Assembler to join our team. The successful candidate will assemble, fit, and finish mechanical and structural components using hand tools, hand grinders, and hand saws, in accordance with engineering specifications and production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble mechanical and structural components using hand tools, hand grinders, and hand saws.
• Read and follow assembly instructions, blueprints, and shop drawings.
• Measure, cut, and fit parts to specified dimensions and tolerances.
• Grind, deburr, and finish edges and surfaces to meet quality standards.
• Perform quality checks to ensure compliance with safety and production standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve fit-up and assembly issues efficiently.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve assembly processes.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly, fabrication, or a related field.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents.
• Proficiency with measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and calipers.
• Safe and effective use of hand tools, hand grinders, and hand saws.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as required.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience working with steel or aluminum.
• Experience in a high-volume production environment.
• OSHA safety training or relevant technical certification.
