    Description

We build autonomous robots for hospital logistics — a fleet that includes STAT, TOTE, LIFT, and LIFT+, each designed to move critical materials through complex clinical environments. As our industrial designer, you'll shape how our fleet looks, operates, and integrates into the spaces and workflows of real hospitals. You'll own the full design arc from early concept through manufacturing handoff, working closely with mechanical, software, and field teams.

    What you'll do

    • Own the physical form of our robot fleet — from concept sketches to production-ready 3D models across STAT, TOTE, LIFT, and LIFT+
    • Lead rapid prototyping cycles using 3D printing and other methods to validate ideas quickly in the physical world
    • Partner with mechanical engineering on DFM, transitional manufacturing processes, and production readiness across the fleet
    • Define the operator interaction model — ergonomics, control surfaces, and physical UI elements for clinical environments
    • Establish and maintain a cohesive visual language across our entire robot fleet and brand expression
    • Join field deployments in hospitals to observe the fleet in use and bring real-world insights back into design

    What we're looking for

    • 3–5 years of industrial design experience shipping physical products to market
    • Strong DFM knowledge and understanding of transitional manufacturing processes
    • Hands-on experience with 3D printing (FDM, SLA) and rapid prototyping
    • Working knowledge of plastics — materials selection, forming processes, surface finishes
    • Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar) and surfacing tools
    • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a fast-moving, early-stage hardware team

    Nice to have

    • Experience designing medical hardware — carts, imaging equipment, hospital devices
    • Familiarity with clinical environments and hospital workflows
    • Knowledge of IP ratings and cleanable enclosures
    • Keyshot or similar rendering
    • Background in human factors or ergonomics
