POSITION OVERVIEW
As an Industrial Electrician your roles and responsibilities will include:
The client is seeking an experienced
Industrial Electrician to support electrical maintenance and production operations at a large bakery manufacturing facility in Chicago.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the facility s electrical infrastructure, troubleshooting production equipment, and helping minimize manufacturing downtime. Your technical expertise will play an important role in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical maintenance activities using Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Progressive Maintenance (PM) standards.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and bakery production equipment.
- Respond quickly to equipment issues to minimize production downtime.
- Perform preventive and proactive electrical maintenance.
- Follow all plant safety, quality, and maintenance procedures.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and arc-flash safety requirements.
- Identify, track, and report equipment and technical losses within the assigned production area.
- Work closely with production, maintenance, and other plant teams to maintain reliable operations.
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, productivity, and equipment reliability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Industrial Electrician who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Industrial Electrician would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- 2+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial/manufacturing equipment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Knowledge of industrial safety practices, including LOTO and arc-flash safety.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing to work 2nd or 3rd shift.
- Must be willing and able to work on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
