Industrial Engineer

Description

Support a comprehensive analysis of current production and future product planning Industrial Engineering (IE) data. The engagement will focus on identifying correlations between product design, IE metrics, quality performance, and production output. Candidate will validate data accuracy, build sustainable dashboard and tools, and deliver actionable insights and recommendations to leadership to inform business decisions. Responsibilities will include:

• Gather, consolidate, and assess existing IE data across plants and programs.
• Identify and analyze correlations between IE metrics, quality data, and production performance.
• Perform data validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of source data (target: <5% discrepancy).

  • Design, build, and maintain a sustainable Power BI (or other) dashboard displaying IE metrics by Plant and Program.

• Leverage AI tools and techniques to accelerate data gathering, analysis, and dashboard development.
• Develop tools for utilizing data to assess future program content and labor
• Collaborate with multiple data owners and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely data input.
• Deliver regular updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership within the organization.
• Update tools and strategy to ensure alignment with leadership recommendations

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with the manufacturing environment and manufacturing/Industrial Engineering processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to be flexible and adapt to a dynamic working environment and diverse team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in collaborating with cross functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency in Power BI; ability to effectively utilize AI tools to accelerate work

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Dearborn, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.00/hr.
