Primary Objective:
Plant Engineering Chemical Systems TechnicianShift: E Shift: 8 am - 4 pm, Monday-Friday
Major Areas of Accountability:
Provide cultural leadership by exemplifying core valuesCoordinate/Plan/Perform equipment preventative maintenance, repairs, and improvementsContractor managementProvide technical guidance to technicians and be directly involved in SOP development and trainingSupport root cause investigations and implementation of solutionsTechnical expert and primary focus on chemical systems, slurry systems, chemical dilutions, batch creations. Responsible for drum, tote chemical changes and offloading of bulk chemical systems.Working knowledge of filtration, assay concentrations, titrations, pH, %Solids, conductivityUnloading and receipt of chemical deliveries, storage of chemicals, review of certificate of analysisDevelop annual plans for activities within equipment area as well as capital planningEnsure site uptime and equipment reliability.Management of chemical inventory, FIFOHazardous waste handlingResist cannister changesMaintain supply and quality parameters of chemical and slurry distributions.Maintain equipment uptime through maintenance activities and troubleshooting of system equipment which include valves, filters, piping, pressure vacuum vessels, pumps, instrumentation and other components.Ability to operate system equipment via HMI for batch creation and - or distribution.Ability to monitor and operate HVAC equipment and respond to key equipment such as boilers, cooling towers, and chillers which are critical for clean room operations.Other key equipment: scrubber systems, fire system, vacuum, compressed airOperate the DI water plantPerform system rounds and rotate equipmentWork within defined technical processes and procedures.Initiate and drive continuous improvements.Uphold area upkeep and 5S principles.Ability to operate heavy machinery including forklift, pallet jackCollaborate cross departmentally, escalate as required.Complete assigned preventative maintenance tasks.Record keeping, reporting, as required.
Required Qualifications:
Education: 2 Year Technical/associate's degree in technical discipline or equivalent military training / manufacturing work experience.
Experience:
5 years' experience in chemical operations or manufacturing8-10 years related work experience- manufacturing or operations.
Skills: mechanical inclination, ability to troubleshoot system equipment, good communication, attentive to detail, collaborative.US Citizenship Required: This position will require the holding of or ability to obtain government security clearance which requires U.S Citizenship.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift 50 lbsAt times bending and or crouchingPersonal protective equipment requirementsDon fab attire as necessary
Desired Qualifications:
