Industrial Maintenance Technician 4PM - 1AM

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment
2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
3. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
4. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
5. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustment
6. Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
7. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
8. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision
9. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
10. Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

1. Machinery repair journeyman status preferred
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent
3. Previous off-shift experience is a plus

Travel

This position requires minimal to no travel

Computer Skills

• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Excel and Word.
• Demonstrated proficiency using EPICOR ERP or similar systems

Other Requirements

1. Strong mechanical knowledge in Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Welding and Torch Operation and Assembly and Disassembly
2. Proven ability to work independently in a high-trust environment.
3. Basic electrical, controls and PLC knowledge
4. Knowledge of lubricants
5. Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance practices and procedures
6. Strong troubleshooting skills
7. Ability to envision, suggest and implement solutions to issues
8. Must be organized, neat and professional
9. Must be able to work individually and as part of a team
10. Desire to learn and grow.

Other Skills

1. Maintain and Improve PM’s that assures the highest level of equipment uptime
2. Serve Internal Customers expediently
3. Inform Management Team of potential high equipment repair expenses
4. Assist other team members when needed
