Industrial Maintenance Technician
Location: Hempstead, TX 77445
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime may be required) Pay: Starting at $22+/hour DOE (Depending on Experience)

VSSI Staffing is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to join a growing manufacturing team in Hempstead, TX. This position is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient operation of production equipment and facility systems through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Diagnose issues involving 3-phase power, motors, controls, and PLC systems.
- Maintain valves, pumps, conveyors, compressors, and other industrial equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
- Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns with a strong sense of urgency.
Qualifications:
- Previous industrial maintenance experience required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting.
- Experience reading electrical schematics and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
- Familiarity with PLCs, motors, controls, and industrial automation systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing and machine shop environment.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
