What you’ll be responsible for each day:

The Maintenance General position is responsible for keeping the plant running and in compliance with all rules/regulations by using safe methods of equipment repair and upkeep.

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment
• Install, update, maintain, and repair plant equipment
• Partner with production teams to minimize downtime and maintain product quality
• Repair and replace valves, pumps, seals, stems, O-rings, seats, bearings, and related components
• Perform basic electrical work, including switches, outlets, starters, and motor leads
• Complete basic pipe fitting as needed
• Safely handle equipment and chemicals
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and all plant safety procedures
• Identify, correct, and report safety hazards and support facility safety programs
• Develop a strong working knowledge of plant processes and equipment

This Maintenance General Worker role offers more than an hourly wage. With a $30.33 starting rate, $1.50/hour night premium, Sunday double time, two pay increases during your first year, 3 weeks of PTO from day one, and up to 7% company 401(k) contributions, you’ll have a strong total rewards package while building your maintenance skills and growing your career.

Where you’ll be working: 

• Our Little Chute, WI, plant is home to about 140 employees. This facility is a top manufacturer of IQF sticks that are supplied to the appetizer industry. Next to the plant is our well-known Simon’s Specialty Cheese store, which has about 20 employees. Simon’s is a Wisconsin-themed store, with everything from meats and cheese to clothing and craft spirits. 
• Agropur’s US operations produce 1 billion pounds of quality, award-winning cheese each year.
