Responsibilities
Safety & Continuous Improvement
- Promote and support a Safety-First culture in all maintenance activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance practices, safety performance, and operational efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives.
Equipment Reliability & Maintenance
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on dryers, separators, conveyors, motors, pumps, fans, and related production equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime.
- Conduct equipment inspections and identify potential failures before they impact production.
- Utilize troubleshooting techniques and maintenance best practices to improve equipment performance and reliability.
Technology & Automation Support
- Support automated process equipment and industrial control systems.
- Assist with troubleshooting sensors, instrumentation, motor controls, and basic PLC-related issues.
- Work closely with operations teams to optimize equipment performance through technology and process improvements.
- Support implementation and commissioning new equipment and emerging technologies.
Maintenance Planning & Documentation
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts usage within MaintainX (CMMS).
- Support maintenance planning and scheduling activities.
- Maintain accurate work orders and equipment history records.
- Assist in managing spare parts inventory and identifying critical replacement components.
Teamwork & Operational Support
- Partner with plant operations to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency.
- Assist maintenance personnel and contractors during major repairs, outage work, and capital projects.
- Communicate equipment status, repair recommendations, and reliability concerns to plant leadership.
- Maintain organized work areas and follow established housekeeping standards.
Qualifications
Preferred Experience
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical school, trade certification, apprenticeship, or military maintenance experience preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting rotating equipment, conveyors, motors, pumps, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, or process equipment.
- Experience working in manufacturing, processing, aggregate, cement, bulk material handling, power generation, or industrial environments is a plus.
- Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, instrumentation, or industrial automation systems is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
