    Job Description

    About the Role

Picture your day: you start with a walk-through of the production floor, checking mechanical systems and planning the morning’s tasks. A call comes in—an assembly needs a precision weld on a small bracket tucked inside a tight enclosure. You set up, execute a clean MIG weld, then move on to routing conduit and installing a new enclosure to support a line change. After lunch, you meet with engineering to resolve a build issue and help turn a prototype into something we can build over and over. You wrap up by documenting an improved assembly process and knocking out a few preventive maintenance tasks.

    What You’ll Tackle

    • Handle general mechanical and industrial maintenance across the facility.
    • Perform welding repairs and end-to-end fabrication projects.
    • Execute precise welds on small components and assemblies, including work in tight or confined spaces.
    • Read and apply basic drawings, sketches, and measurements for fabrication and repair work.
    • Install mechanical components; route conduit and mount enclosures to support equipment and facility needs.
    • Partner with engineering to resolve build issues and improve manufacturability.
    • Create and refine repeatable assembly procedures and documentation.
    • Support the shift from prototypes to stable, repeatable production.
    • Troubleshoot and repair equipment and mechanical components to minimize downtime.
    • Assist with installing, modifying, and repairing machinery and facility equipment.
    • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.

    What You Bring

    • 4+ years of industrial maintenance experience required; 10+ years preferred.
    • Strong hands-on welding background with proficiency in MIG welding.
    • Experience in metal fabrication, fitting, cutting, grinding, and related shop processes.
    • Proven mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting ability.
    • Comfort working on ladders and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
    • Safe operation of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
    • Meticulous attention to detail and a strong safety mindset.

You should be proficient in: welding
