TekPro has partnered with a long-standing manufacturer in Itasca to hire a seasoned Maintenance Electrician as a direct-hire team member. If you enjoy solving tough electrical problems and keeping production equipment reliable, this role puts you in the center of the action.
A day in the life
You start first shift on the production floor. A packaging line throws a fault—within minutes you’re at the panel with a multimeter, reading the electrical schematic, tracing a 480V/3-phase circuit, and finding a failed contactor. Later, you complete scheduled PMs on motors and VFDs, verify sensors and relays, and button up a small wiring modification for an equipment upgrade. Before lunch, you lend a hand on a PLC-controlled conveyor—no programming needed, just solid troubleshooting to pinpoint a field device. You wrap up with a quick facility systems check and note a small corrective repair for tomorrow.
