This is a direct hire Quality Control Manager position focused on leading quality functions, product excellence, team performance, and AS9100D/ISO 9001 compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and continuously improve the AS9100D/ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Implement and enforce quality control standards across operations.
Monitor product quality throughout production to ensure consistency and compliance.
Lead internal and external audits.
Drive corrective action strategy, root cause analysis, and preventative initiatives.
Serve as the primary quality liaison with customers and regulatory bodies.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to reduce defects and improve processes.
Provide data-driven insights to leadership on quality metrics and trends.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency.
Oversee and perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections when needed.
Review and approve First Article Inspections (FAIs).
Ensure effective use of inspection equipment including CMM.
Lead, mentor, and develop QC Inspectors.
Establish performance standards, accountability, and training plans.
Build a culture focused on precision, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Align quality objectives with company growth goals.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
7+ years of quality leadership experience in CNC machining or similar manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes, AS9100D, and ISO 9001:2015 standards (technical).
Proficiency in quality control methods, inspection processes, and quality measurement tools (technical).
Proven ability to lead audits and drive system improvements (technical/functional).
Technical proficiency in blueprint reading and GD&T (technical).
Strong leadership presence and communication skills (behavioral).
