Job Details
We're hiring a Refrigeration & HVAC Technician to keep our plant's refrigeration, HVAC and ventilation systems running at peak performance.
What you'll do:
- Install, maintain and repair industrial refrigeration, HVAC, ventilation and exhaust systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on compressors, evaporators, condensers, air handlers and controls
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, emergency repairs and root cause analysis
- Maintain refrigerated and frozen storage areas and pressure-controlled production rooms
- Support PLC and automation troubleshooting on HVAC and production equipment
- Handle sheet metal fabrication, brazing/soldering and welding as needed
- Complete work orders in the CMMS and keep accurate logs
- Follow food safety (GMP, HACCP, SQF) and OSHA requirements
What you need:
- 5+ years of commercial or industrial HVAC/refrigeration experience (not just residential)
- EPA 608 Universal certification
- Industrial refrigeration experience strongly preferred (ammonia, glycol, large compressor systems)
- Able to read schematics and electrical diagrams; PLC exposure a plus
- Welding (TIG/MIG/stick), brazing and sheet metal skills
- Food or beverage manufacturing experience preferred
- Valid driver's license; comfortable working in cold environments and occasional after-hours call-ins
