Job Description

Lead Infant Teacher

Love the baby stage? So do we.

We're looking for an experienced, nurturing Lead Infant Teacher who understands that infant care is so much more than bottles, diapers, and naps. Those first months are packed with development, connection, communication, and some very big milestones from some very tiny humans.

At The Learning Experience, our Lead Infant Teacher creates a classroom where babies feel safe, loved, engaged, and ready to explore their world. You'll build strong relationships with families, lead the daily rhythm of your classroom, implement our infant curriculum, and work alongside a leadership team that wants both our children and our teachers to thrive.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

  • A supportive, team-oriented school environment

  • Established curriculum and classroom resources

  • Opportunities to grow within early childhood education and leadership

  • Meaningful relationships with children and families

  • A leadership role where your experience and ideas matter

  • The chance to celebrate the little things that are actually very big things: first steps, first words, new skills, belly laughs, and growing independence

Compensation: 17.50-20.00

What You'll Do

As our Lead Infant Teacher, you'll take ownership of creating a safe, nurturing, developmentally appropriate classroom for our youngest learners.

You'll:

  • Lead your classroom by creating a warm, organized, engaging environment where infants can safely explore, learn, and grow.

  • Bring our L.E.A.P. Curriculum to life through age-appropriate experiences supporting language, sensory exploration, motor development, social-emotional growth, and early cognitive skills.

  • Individualize care by respecting each child's developmental stage and daily needs while maintaining a consistent classroom routine.

  • Keep safety at the center of everything you do, including active supervision, sanitation, safe sleep practices, feeding, diapering, and classroom organization.

  • Build trusting relationships with families through warm, professional communication and regular updates about their child's day, development, and milestones.

  • Lead by example for other educators through professionalism, collaboration, consistency, and strong classroom practices.

  • Partner with center leadership and your teaching team to create an exceptional experience for children and families.

We're Looking for Someone Who...

Is warm and nurturing and understands that being a Lead Teacher requires leadership, accountability, and consistency.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Has ECE coursework or credentials preferred

  • Meets applicable INS requirements

  • Can communicate professionally and confidently with families

  • Understands infant developmental milestones and developmentally appropriate practice

  • Can remain calm, patient, attentive, and engaged throughout the day

  • Is dependable, collaborative, and ready to be an active member of the center team

  • Meets required state and federal health, safety, training, physical, and employment requirements

Infant Care Is Hands-On

Our teachers are actively engaged with children throughout the day. Essential responsibilities may include feeding, bottle preparation, diapering, dressing, grooming, soothing, floor play, facilitating developmental activities, cleaning and sanitizing classroom materials, and supervising children by both sight and sound.
