Nurture First Steps. Inspire Lifelong Learning. Help Children Thrive.

INFANT TODDLER TEACHER

FULL-TIME | EARLY HEAD START | MISSION-DRIVEN CAREER OPPORTUNITY

Hourly Rate: $18.39 per hour

BUILD BRIDGES TO SUCCESS

At Children's Home Society of Florida (CHS), we believe the earliest years of a child's life shape everything that follows.

As an Infant Toddler Teacher, you'll help create the nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where infants and toddlers can learn, grow, and reach important developmental milestones. Every smile you encourage, every skill you help develop, and every relationship you build helps lay the foundation for a child's future success.

This is more than a teaching role. It's an opportunity to partner with families, support healthy development, and make a lasting impact during a child's most important years of growth.

If you're passionate about early childhood education, child development, and helping young children thrive, we'd love to meet you.

YOUR IMPACT

As an Infant Toddler Teacher, you'll serve as a child's first educator, advocate, and champion for learning.

Through nurturing care, intentional teaching, and meaningful family partnerships, you'll help infants and toddlers develop the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills they need to succeed in school and life.

Your work may include:

  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom environment where children feel secure and valued.
  • Planning and implementing age-appropriate learning experiences that support school readiness and developmental growth.
  • Building strong, positive relationships with children and families.
  • Supporting infants' and toddlers' physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through play, exploration, and daily interactions.
  • Conducting developmental screenings and assessments to track each child's progress.
  • Maintaining individualized learning plans and documenting developmental milestones.
  • Encouraging parent engagement and strengthening parent-child relationships.
  • Sharing children's growth, achievements, and daily experiences with families.
  • Maintaining classroom safety, cleanliness, and compliance with licensing and Head Start requirements.
  • Collaborating with teammates to deliver high-quality Early Head Start services.
  • Supporting children with diverse learning needs, including children with disabilities and dual-language learners.
