Informatics Credentialed Trainer

This position is responsible for developing content/workflow expertise for assigned Epic application(s). Credentialed Trainers focus on the provision of end user training in the classroom, via live meeting and/or in 1:1 settings to end users from all levels of the organization. Additional focus areas include rounding, customer communication and optimization activities.

What you will do

• Serves as instructor before, during and after go-lives and system updates to existing system users.
• Provides training to new users and users new to a role.
• Provides training on new/revised processes and tools.
• Utilizes "Deaconess Examples" in training programs.
• Maintains a general knowledge of hardware, operating systems, applications, operational analysis and protocols.
• Obtains a basic knowledge of system report tools.
• Adapts training, reference and test materials as directed.
• Documents issues identified during training and/or rounding, referring them to the appropriate individual and closing the loop with end-users.
• Assures training records are maintained in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Assists with the development of testing and assessment tools to assure competency with the system.
• Rounds with end-users on a regular basis with a focus on end-user training, system efficiency and acceptance.
• Provides regular feedback to workgroups and leadership team to assist in the development of training and optimization prioritization.
• Assists with patient registration.
• Assists with WQs.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a health related or adult education field
• Previous experience documenting in Epic's electronic medical record
• Experience as a trainer and/or mentor
• Associate's Degree health related or adult education field
• Bachelor's Degree health related or adult education field
