Perform routine analysis of information security monitoring reports. Research and document evidence for follow up of anomalies.
Monitor and respond to real time security alerts from various security tools and escalate as necessary those events which may be indicative of a security incident.
Document and report findings, actions taken, and lessons learned.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding security incidents and mitigation efforts.
Document procedures and processes associated with security program activities.
Report on metrics used to measure compliance with information security standards.
Ensure proper operation of information and physical security monitoring technologies.
Collaborate with other security team members and IT staff to address security incidents.
A team-oriented individual who works well with others and places a premium on the group's success.
A self-starter with initiative and drive for continuous improvement
Responsibilities (Marginal):
Monitor threat intelligence and vulnerability disclosure sources to evaluate relevancy and risk to the Bank's environment.
Perform other duties as requested.
Required Education & Experience:
Minimum of Associates Degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certifications are a plus.
Minimum 3 years of technical education or experience with a focus on Information Security or Information Technology preferred.
Strong technical and problem solving skills and attention to detail required.
A basic understanding of networks and operating system security fundamentals is required.
Knowledge of key security controls including firewalls, antimalware, and vulnerability management is strongly preferred.
Experience with SIEM systems is a plus.
The location of this position will be either Bangor/Hampden ME or Manchester NH, with remote options depending on experience.
