Information Security Manager to fulfill an immediate full-time vacancy.
This position is a Full-Time, Direct Hire position that sits hybrid in the Birmingham, AL.
Day to Day Responsibilities:- Drive the day-to-day execution of the security strategy across a family of companies, partnering with business leaders to align security priorities with business goals
- Lead risk assessments, control audits, and remediation tracking, and maintain policies and documentation mapped to NIST and CMMC frameworks
- Own security projects from scoping through delivery, managing timelines, resources, and cross-team coordination
- Manage and mentor a small team of experienced cybersecurity engineers while overseeing managed security service providers against service levels
- Lead incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection, while strengthening the Microsoft environment (Entra ID, Defender, Intune, M365)
- Oversee third-party risk, customer security questionnaires, cyber insurance requirements, and AI and data governance
- Build buy-in and influence with leaders at each business to secure investment in security initiatives
Position Requirements:- 5+ years of IT experience, including 3+ years in a dedicated information security role and 1+ years in a supervisory or team-lead capacity
- Strong communication skills and the ability to lead through influence rather than authority across multiple business units
- Demonstrated project management experience and a record of developing and coaching technical staff
- Working knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST 800-53/800-171, CMMC, CIS, or ISO 27001
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management, identity and access management, and securing Microsoft enterprise environments
- Ability to translate technical risk into business terms for non-technical leaders
- Preferred: manufacturing or OT/ICS exposure, MSSP management, multi-company environments, and certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
