Sistema is looking for a Information Security Manager with our government client based in Austin, TX for a 6-Month position.  

***This Hybrid position may require onsite work at our client’s site in Austin, TX.
Normal business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM ***

Performs highly advanced (senior-level) information security work providing leadership and strategic direction for the agency's information security, risk management, governance, and compliance programs. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing enterprise-wide security policies, standards, controls, risk assessments, and security strategies; ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and industry standards; and protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of agency information assets. Serves as the agency's principal information security advisor and works collaboratively with agency leadership, courts, business units, and technology teams to manage risk and support organizational objectives. Works under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for initiative, independent judgment, and decision-making authority.
OTHER SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Skill in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
Ability to quickly learn new technologies or solutions independently.
Must have  one or more industry certifications, such as CISSP or CISM.
Storng preference is for candidates to be temp to hire eligible.

	4		Experience with security frameworks such as NIST and CIS Controls as well as governance compliances such as Texas Administrative Code 202, DIR and Cyber Command Security requirements, TX-RAMP, FedRAMP, and SOC2.
	5	Preferred	Experience working with State Government agencies
	3	Preferred	Experience in coordinating/using vendor provided support.
	3	Preferred	Experience serving as an Information Security Officer or equivalent security leadership role.
	2	Preferred	Experience presenting cybersecurity, risk, or compliance matters to executive leadership and other stakeholders.
	2	Preferred	Experience with business continuity, disaster recovery, third-party risk management, and cloud environments, including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
